Stockholm Fashion Week is back, meaning there's as much opportunity to lust over the garments on the streets as those on the catwalks.

There's no denying the sartorial prowess of the Scandinavians. From Copenhagen's Ganni girls to the indie brands coming out of Oslo and Helsinki, Scandi is no longer synonymous with a monochrome and minimalist aesthetic. In fact, the more get-ups we spot outside the shows, the more we find inspiration in the vivid colours, bold prints and clever styling tricks.

Click through to see what our favourite street stylers are wearing to AW18's Stockholm Fashion Week.

Charlotte Cardin continues our love for zebra print by wearing a faux fur Stand coat. Digging that heavy metal Zara bag, too.

Illustrator and model Cajsa Wessberg wears a multicoloured chevron striped faux fur coat from Stand over her Levi's hoodie. Pastels galore.

Blogger Karoline Dall layers a faux fur coat from Stand over a polka dot co-ord from Envii. She wears the print of the season with white boots from Gestuz and a J.W. Anderson Pierce bag.

Nnenna Echem ticks off four key trends here: pink (her bag is by Gina Tricot), vinyl (the ASOS coat seen everywhere on our Instagram feeds), suiting (her pink number is from H&M), and polka dot. Topped off with some Nikes, and this look is heading straight for our Pinterest board.

Darja Barannik goes neutral with an Anne Vest coat and matching camel trousers and Yuzefi bag. Neutral needn't mean boring, though, as she proves with Gucci's embellished sunnies and pearl earrings by Cathrine Børter.

Maren Schia 's lime Monki dress and forest green Decadent handbag work perfectly together, but it's when matched with the fluffy pink collar of her Stand jacket shows what a pairing green and pink really are. Extra points for those tiny sunnies, too.

Pairing her checked River Island bag with fluted checked Bitte Kai Rand trousers, stylist Sandra Ekenstam neutralises the clash with a camel coat by moves. We love those patent red By Malene Berge boots, too.

Amanda Winberg shows us how slouchy tailoring works - with trainers, gold jewellery, and a button-down polo shirt.

Stylist Lina Magassa gave a good lesson in layering, wearing a striped faux fur coat from Stand over a knitted red dress and black trousers. Her matching House of Dagmar bag proves that red-to-toe isn't going anywhere fast.

Journalist Darja Barannik popped the collar of her Diesel vinyl trench coat, pairing it with white Totême jeans and a classic blue Hermès bag.

We love the punked-up version of Balenciaga's City bag – who knew graffiti and heritage check would work so well?

Vogue contributor Maryam Ghavidel went motocross with her matching jacket and skirt from Tommy Hilfiger, topped off with Acne leather boots.

Another great argument for all-over red (and camel) on the first day of Stockholm Fashion Week. Hold on to your faux fur, as textures continue to be the outerwear of choice this season.

Linn Eklund clashes her checks with an Envii coat and heritage trousers, nodding to SS18's plastics trend with a transparent Lindex bag. Her sunglasses are from Céline.

Maren Schia returns in Ganni's coveted lilac knit with a tomato-red skirt from Iben.

Another pairing of bold tights with box-fresh trainers (these are Reebok), Andrea Werngren wears her blue dress and checked Zara blazer under a Gucci belt.
