Brows are a serious business. Twenty years ago, we weren't focusing on them at all – in fact, we were plucking them into oblivion without a second thought. Now, of course, in large part thanks to Cara Delevingne, brow maintenance has become something of a project: we're all searching for the dream beautician to help nurture and curate our best possible brows.
It's a lucrative market. Since 2015, Wunderbrow has sold 2 million eyebrow enhancer kits and according to market research company NPD, we each spend an average of £200 a year on brow grooming. The range of available treatments has expanded from simple plucking and waxing to microblading, threading, tinting and HD'ing, making it slightly tricky to know which will suit you best.

Great for: Those wanting the newest shape
This salon is a bit of a haven, tucked away off the busy city streets and offering a relaxing space to get your nails or brows treated. While nails are revitalised downstairs, the mezzanine hosts the brow bar, with experts who have been working on eyebrow maintenance for over 15 years.
The salon's recently launched 'Audrey Brow' pays homage to the film star and classic beauty. Keeping hairs thick and full but tailoring the length of your brow to suit your face, it opens up eyes and frames the face. The most well-known fan of the treatment? Future royal Ms. Meghan Markle, a regular at the salon.

Great for: Brow beginners
Founded by Vanita Parti – who received an MBE in 2015 for her services to beauty – Blink has set the standard for brow care. From affordable masterclasses where experts teach you how to create the perfect brow at home, to a three-part series of treatments that bring damaged and over-plucked brows back to life over time, this is great for first-timers and seasoned pros alike.
Where: Nez Hasan, Southgate
Great for: Those who want to stop using product
Nez Hasan has gained a cult following thanks to her incredible microblading techniques. Using a fine blade to create shallow ink-filled cuts along the brow, 'hairs' are filled in, creating a semi-permanent fuller brow. This treatment is fantastic for people with alopecia, in remission, or just super-sparse brows.
While there have been some horror stories about microblading gone wrong, Hasan's work is always successful – as her 14.8k Instagram followers know. With Sam and Nicola Chapman among her clients, Nez's waiting list is only going to grow.

Great for: Tone-matching
Inspired by the German art movement Bauhaus, this brow and lash salon is aimed at "the image conscious, who demand function and style". Our favourite treatment? If you've recently committed to bleached hair or had some chocolate tones put in, Browhaus will colour-match your brows and make them look natural next to your new 'do. Plus, each location has a different decor, with inspiration ranging from Wes Anderson to the Wild West.

Great for: Threading and guaranteed results
Founded in 2004 by Shavata Singh, Shavata Brow specialises in pure cotton threading, and is loved by editors and beauticians alike. With 30 years of experience in perfecting eyebrows, Singh has worked with celebrities like Kate Hudson and Elle Macpherson.
Shavata Brow is a little more high end but for a fully-tailored consultation and the knowledge that you'll walk away with eye-framing brows, we think it's worth it.
