Your Horoscope This Week

It's summertime and the livin’ is… far from easy. But you already knew that, didn’t you? Welcome to your summer of review and redo! Think of the current skies as summer school. Maybe you just squeaked by during your last round of exams, and your teachers (aka the planets) are giving you an opportunity to check your work and see where you can perform better. Sounds good, right? Well, there are a few catches this week that will make this review a little uncomfortable.

For one thing, Saturn in Capricorn is looking for some accountability on promises you made back in December. He’ll be having some stern conversations with the sun and the moon about just how much work has to be redone in order to meet his standards. I like to think of Saturn as Severus Snape (an actual Capricorn, btw). He’s not particularly charming or pleasant, but at the end of the day, he totally respects hard work. So use this week to sit with Saturn as you review your exams (aka your life) together.

He’ll probably have something rude and soul-crushing to say to you, but take it in stride. If you heed the advice that’s given and get to work revising parts of your life now, you’ll be in a much better position when faced with similar challenges down the road. Keep in mind that this isn’t the time for foolish wand waving, okay? When we have so many retrograde planets above our heads (Mars as of 26th June, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto and Mercury to follow suit next month), pushing forward is counterintuitive. Look back and explore whether you’re satisfied with the results your past actions have yielded. Yes? No? Maybe so? You have time to make sense of it all.

So bust out your highlighters and scrap paper to take notes. And try not to take any of the criticism too personally, because Saturn has a way of creating sadness if we’re not productive with his critiques. Trust that you can and will do better, because ultimately it will lead to a more fulfilling life. Use that Cancer and Capricorn energy to your advantage to get things done. Sound good? Good. Let’s go!

Cancer
June 21 to July 22

With Saturn and the moon pairing up in your house of partnerships, there’s been some disappointment and sadness in this part of your life. You also have some frustration about trying to voice your concerns so that your partner understands them. At this point, you’re wondering if it’s worth it to bother with love and relationships at all, Cancer.

It is, but this full moon pulls no punches: There’s still work to be done in how you partner and compromise with each other. As the planets spin backwards to help you review, keep this mantra in mind: It’s business, not personal. It sounds kind of cruel, but it’ll help you keep a clear head when assessing your union. Look at what’s absolutely required for you to be happy and respected in a partnership, and then look to see whether you’re receiving at least that minimum. This isn’t about you accepting crumbs after giving so much of yourself. This is a check to see if the foundation can support the renovations needed to salvage what you already have (or if it’s worth saving at all). Do this work during the backspin, so that you’ll know who to merge with in your future joint ventures.

Leo
July 23 to August 22

It's back to the basics, Leo! Your Saturn story has revolved around you taking your health, routines and daily interactions more seriously. This full moon will show you how you’ve been faring so far. I get it, this work isn’t glamorous, and it’s rarely fun. But for now it’s the springboard for your success going forward. Consider how your health can make the rest of your life more stressful. Think about how loose routines can quickly give way to no structure at all. At this point in your life a little stability, responsibility and punctuality is important. So put your pride to the side, and instead of seeing less than stellar results as a failure, think of it as an opportunity to improve. Redo the plan, trim it down to what’s absolutely necessary for more calm in your life, and then get to work. Ya never know, Leo, the work you do now could make you very attractive to others come autumn.

Virgo
August 23 to September 22

This full moon is reminding you of your commitment to your creativity, Virgo. Imagine, just six months ago you would’ve been appalled by the thought of just having fun for the sake of it, or indulging in that sorely underused talent of yours for anything other than the occasional pastime. But look at you now, look how putting respect on your gifts has opened you up to the world and introduced you to like-minded people who share your interests. You can absolutely assess how far you’ve come with your craft, and I have no doubt that you can easily point out all the ways that you could do better. That’s not a challenge for you, Virgo. The real work lies in seeing that it's not about perfection. It's about how your individual fabulousness is an act of service. So yes, definitely review your life lessons (and results), but also give yourself a round of applause — it’s a part of your curriculum. Keep having a good time, and in a few months you’ll see that you can use joy to power your engine and get anything done.

Libra
September 23 to October 22

This full moon shines light on one of the most private parts of your life — your home. Yes, the easy explanation would be to spend more time there, or to do some last-minute spring cleaning in order to appease Saturn. But I urge you to go one step further: Head into the proverbial basement to clean out the old familial fears and stories that are cluttering your path. This is old news for you, Libra. You can probably list all of the dos and don'ts your family inundated you with as a kid, likely all for your perceived protection and success. But now you may find that those rules are more of a hindrance to your growth than you thought. No one is saying that you have to disregard where you come from, but make sure the past (and other people’s experiences) isn’t dictating your direction. Zero in on that nagging voice that still says things are beyond reach, and give it a new story to tell. When you’re done cleaning up, you’ll have tons of energy left over to pour into your self-expression — energy that’s free of burden.

Scorpio
October 23 to November 21

It’s a busy full moon for you as the heavens light up all the responsibilities you have towards your closest friends, siblings and your community. But your most important work revolves around your communication and how your voice, when backed up with Saturnian authority, is needed to uplift and teach others. So how have you done thus far? You’ve finally published that book, doubled up on your blogging/writing, you’ve volunteered to teach young people, and you’ve been a real firecracker on Twitter… Or you’ve done none of the above and are still working on trusting your ideas. Well, there’s no shame in seeing where you are, just know that you’re much bigger than you give yourself credit for. Reassess this week, and notice where you can push yourself more to speak up. You’re not limited to the examples I laid out. Your actions could really be as simple as speaking up for yourself at home or with your friends, but with so much Jupiterian wind at your back, the universe urges you to go bigger.

Sagittarius
November 22 to December 21

Allow this full moon to illuminate your journey toward responsibility and accountability, Centaur. Since Saturn (thankfully) moved out of your sign back in December, your focus has been on adulting. You’ve been doing your best to create practical goals for yourself, to be more aware of your finances and spending, to learn to put a little aside for those rainy days. However more than that, use this full moon to assess how you’ve been feeling about yourself regardless of the external appearances and accolades that typically read "success". Your revisions this week revolve around the image you hold of yourself and the value you place on it. Think about it Sag, just how much value have you placed on yourself at your lowest and highest points? Are you only awesome when you get what you want? Despite the disappointments and challenges that Saturn has thrown at you, the bigger lesson has always been that you are your own source of abundance and love. So yes, definitely revise your finances, but make sure a healthy portion of it is dedicated to showing yourself the love and respect you deserve.

Capricorn
December 22 to January 19

Which way is your life heading, Capricorn, and do you like the direction you’ve chosen? This full moon is all about you revising you. You’ve been learning how to take on Saturn’s heavy mantle of responsibility without being completely overburdened by his demands. You’re also learning how to be mature, responsible and reliable without being a joyless stick in the mud. So where could you stand to do better, Sea Goat? Although you may never see it this way, chances are you could always be kinder to yourself. There’s likely no harsher critic of you than you, and while it pushes you to achieve, sometimes it keeps you from freely expressing yourself. You need confident self-expression, because that kind of confidence will allow you to receive those accolades you’re after. Yes, you can live the life you want. And no, you don’t have to be miserable on the way to getting it. So stop beating yourself up in the name of "discipline". Instead, embrace disciplined self-love so that you'll have the confident energy needed to go after your desires.

Aquarius
January 20 to February 18

It's been nothing but false starts for you, Water Bearer, and I know you’re tired of it. The good news is that this full moon does ask you to rest and drift inwards. Trusting in your intuition, being inspired by dreams and also fighting off feelings of failure has been a big part of your exam so far. Revise and reimagine the experience of going inward to find guidance that you can believe and honour. This isn’t the best week for taking action, so cancel those plans you didn’t want to go to anyway, and just chill out in your own space. Daydream about how different things will be once you feel the flow of energy pushing you forward again. Between now and then, make peace with fears that are whispering in the background. Tell yourself you don’t need to be afraid of dreaming bigger, and remind yourself that in the unknown our best visions for the future take shape. Here’s to a quiet and restful review, just don’t fall asleep — you’ll be called to take action sooner than you think.

Pisces
February 19 to March 20

You’ve had the special honour of revising your relationships, Pisces. Your crew, your organisations and your supposed friends have all been a part of your exam over these past few months. The main goal for you is to be a part of a collective that shares a common vision. As the heavens pull you back for your review, start sorting out who you’ll be leaving behind. Remember, it’s not because you don’t care for them (unless you really don’t), but because your hopes and wishes for the future are out of alignment with theirs. You’re figuring out what kind of impression you want to leave behind long after you’re gone. The people you consider friends and associates will only support you in getting there. So use this energy to recommit to your personal and global vision for the future. When you stay true to that dream, you’ll see your own band of marauders come through to lend a helping hand.

Aries
March 21 to April 19

Your efforts to be an authority, make boss-level moves and climb the ladder have been fun, right? We know what you’re thinking: Ha! Fun, what’s that? Has it been worth it, Aries? Is it as lonely as they say it is? This week may have you painting a dour image about your progress so far. Here you've been trying to redefine leadership, and all you have to show for it is a decided lack of sleep, neglected loved ones, and tons of questions about whether or not any of this is worth the hassle. Before you yell out, "F*ck this sh*t, I’m out!" shed a few tears of frustration to get it out of your system (tbh, the moon in Capricorn isn't known for lending a shoulder to cry on), and then take a hard look at your work and the environment you've created. Is this sustainable? How long can you honestly thrive like this? Be practical about your decisions, but make sure that they sync up with your evolving set of values. This is still your game, Aries, play your way.

Taurus
April 20 to May 20

A whole new world has been opening up to you since you started challenging your belief systems, Taurus. And the full moon wants to illuminate the hills you've been willing to die on up to this point. Are you still feeling pumped and inspired by the big picture, or do you want to pack your bags and return to a perspective that's more familiar? You understand that words mean things and that ideals can look very different when put into action. It's an equation — belief + action creates an outcome. What positive outcomes have your beliefs led you to, Taurus? This exercise will help guide you through your Uranian metamorphosis. You want your beliefs to match up with who you're becoming. So, review your work, but know that no action is necessary at the moment. This is a good time to assess any beliefs that keep you feeling trapped and uninspired. There's still plenty to be curious about, Taurus. Don't lose faith just yet.

Gemini
May 21 to June 20

Here comes the full moon to really call you out on your sh*t, Gemini. What have you been up to since Saturn asked you to sit with the skeletons in your closet? Having skeletons isn’t necessarily a bad thing (we all have them) but they have a way of pulling our strings from the darkness if we're not careful. In other words: If you don’t handle your demons, your demons will handle you. Your task so far has been to get acquainted with your underlying fears and passions, especially those that revolve around money, intimacy and mortality. Instead of running from your shadow, embrace it. Yes, there are parts of you that are jealous, possessive and insecure. But don’t shun them — ask them what they’re frightened about. What is it that you’re so worried about not receiving that you’d be willing to act out in order to get it? Luckily, you get to revise this whole dynamic, Gemini. Don’t do (or say) anything else while you reflect.
