It's spring! Do you need another reason to refresh your wardrobe? We didn't think so. Luckily, the catwalks of SS18 threw up some fantastic trends that are both easy to incorporate into your current wardrobe rotation and exciting enough to get you hyped for dressing up again (a feeling we forgot about in the depths of winter.)
From ice-cream shades to hard-working two-pieces, click ahead to find the trends we're wearing this spring, and the pieces we're buying to give our wardrobe some much needed TLC.

The Trench Coat
You may have noticed that the classic trench has been reimagined, remixed and reinvented for spring by just about everyone. From Phillip Lim's sleeveless number to Dries Van Noten's floral take, via Kenzo's vinyl offering, the British staple was ripped and renewed for the new season. While we're partial to any of these more contemporary refreshes, the Casablanca and Breakfast At Tiffany's -esque traditional shape and shade are still our first choice.
To make this feel right for now, pair with vibrant brights, pieces in similar shades, roll the sleeves up and pop the collar. This lightweight version from H&M is just the ticket to see you through to warmer climes.
H&M Trenchcoat, £69.99, available at H&M
Miista Nina Ruby Raffia Mid-Heels, £195, available at Miista
The Row Liano Pants, £925, available at Net-A-Porter
&Other Stories Midi Tie Neck Dress, £89, available at &Other Stories

Statement Shirt
The shirt got interesting last season, with bell, balloon and fluted sleeves revving up your workwear staple, and bow, tie and eyelet detailing taking it up a notch further. While the classic shirt may not be for everyone - button-ups can make an outfit look stuffy, and white isn't one for the clumsy - the cooler, more contemporary shirt has endless styling possibilities.
We're styling this H&M Studio piece - how sweet is the exposed stitching? - with directional mules from Rejina Pyo and vinyl trousers. It goes further with a roll neck underneath on chillier days, open over a muted dress at the weekend, and tucked into our favourite denim, too.
H&M Wide Cotton Shirt, £59.99, available at H&M
Kitri Eleanora Vinyl Trousers, £75, available at Kitri
Rejina Pyo Yasmin Leather Mules, £465, available at Net-A-Porter

Pastel
From mint green to Limoncello yellow, via candy floss pink and duck-egg blue, pastel hues and ice-cream shades have taken over. Even the most loyal wearers of black will be seduced by the wearability of the palette, thanks to the fact that a small dose slips nicely into any outfit, no matter your aversion to all things soft.
This Mango jumper is the perfect pairing with Victoria Beckham's '70s flares and Charles & Keith's lilac mules, and can be worn under a belted trench, over a silver roll neck (purple and the metallic hue are brilliant bedfellows), or your favourite floral dress.
Victoria Beckham High-Rise Flared Jeans, £275, available at Net-A-Porter
Mango Puffed Sleeves Ribbed Jumper, £39.99, available at Mango
Charles & Keith Lucite Heel Mules, £39, available at Charles & Keith

The Knit
Cosy knits have had somewhat of a renaissance in recent seasons, with statement offerings featuring balloon sleeves and funnel necks becoming mainstays of our wardrobes. Ganni's lilac, striped, and lemon pieces dominated our Instagram feeds, with the #GanniGirls swanning around the streets of Copenhagen Fashion Week making knitwear a lust-worthy piece, while Kitri and Topshop have made equally desirable bright and pastel alternatives.
The weather isn't allowing us to go jacket-free just yet, but in lieu of heavy outerwear, for now we're pairing our favourite dresses and go-to denim with said gorgeous knits.
Zara Checked Linen Dress, £39.99, available at Zara
Ganni Julliard Sweater, £330, available at Net-A-Porter
Topshop Kale Trim Mule, £46, available at Topshop

The Ruffle Dress
Remember a time when people galled at the idea of black and navy, or pink and red, being worn together? The rulebook has been torn up and our favourite colour clashes are the most surprising. Fuchsia and burgundy make a pairing, bringing a pop of fun to an otherwise formal shade.
Layer this flouncy pussybow-and-all dress over a wear-anywhere roll neck, add matching mules and eye-catching earrings, and you've got yourself not-quite-winter-not-quite-summer evening attire.
Uterque Burgundy Mules With Frill, £99, available at Uterque
Flow The Label Pleated Dress, £335, available at Flow The Label
New Look Burgundy Roll Neck Top, £9.99, available at New Look
Mango Metal Pendant Earrings, £9.99, available at Mango

The Suit
Suits were everywhere for SS18, both on the catwalk and outside the shows. A.W.A.K.E and Chalayan made a case for an oversized slouchy take on the business suit, while Acne and Dolce & Gabbana previewed pastel shades perfect for summer.
The beauty of the spring suit is that you can both wrap up warm and remove the jacket when you hit the tube, without compromising on your get-up. We're dressing ours down with fresh trainers and a tongue-in-cheek T.
Racil Gion Double-Breasted Wool Blazer, £785, and Aries Skinny Wool Cropped Trousers, £360, available at Matches
Kitri Cowboy Cotton T-Shirt, £45, available at Kitri
Converse One Star Cotton Candy, £65, available at Converse
