It's March, which should mean daffodils, lighter jackets and crisp, sunny days. In reality, we're faced with train-stopping snow, extremely high bills in a bid to keep our flats heated, and soggy socks. So how does one dress in such transitional - and frankly miserable - weather? Look no further than Instagram for inspiration, where our favourite sartorial movers and shakers are serving exemplary 'spring' looks for us to pinch.

Team floral dresses - which will perk your mood up at least - with denim jackets under puffers, bring out some sparkly socks to spice up your 12-eyelet stomping boots, and wear keep-warm roll necks under your new checked two-piece. When the good weather eventually makes an appearance, pare it all back with less outerwear and more new-season joie de vivre.

Click through to see our pick of Instagram's best dressed, proving that rubbish weather needn't mean subpar style.

Just add a leather or denim jacket until the sun shows its face.
